The Meth

The Meth or the Elder One

Wants to know what Cognite are up to. We owe him a mission.

Interested in the Lost Generation.

The Elder one had hired Daywud to research the Factors. He told us that all the research was deleted. He's lying.

On the Factors, The Meth said that Fermi was right. There is a great filter. Does this mean that the Factors are the filter???

The Fall

Personally, I don't know shit about the Fall.

Mykroft said that the fall was caused by military AIs going crazy.

Once AI went sentient, they explored the solar system and opened Pandora's box. Within Pandora's box, was a computer virus.

The military AIs were dangerous before the virus. Afterwards, they were a fucking apocalypse.

Mykroft has warned us not to trust the Factors. They probably wiped out all other intelligent life they found.

Mykroft is not on Earth. 

Daywud and the clean up crew

On Locus, we were hired my a shady chap wanting to know who had killed his cousin.

Daywud, as he was called, was supposedly murdered by a "clean-up crew" on Ilmarinen.

We traveled to Ilmarinen by ship and made contact with a local academic, Fatima Ing. It was soon revealed that Fatima was a firewall agent.

Fatima put us in touch with a Bot (unclear on this), called Poppy-Takes-No-Shit. Poppy, had worked with Daywud.

Poppy told us that Daywud was a gatecrasher. He had found something on his last mission, potentially an x-risk. Poppy thinks that Daywud was murdered by another group of gatecrashers. Bad hombres.

Daywud was a geneticist. The material he brought back was (maybe) plant material, with mind control attributes. Before he was murdered he started acting strange.

We concluded Daywud was a bad motherfucker and that his cousin was full of shit. Basically, Daywud got what was coming.

On Illmarinen, we met an unconstrained AI called Mykroft. Mykroft was created before the fall. He was scary as hell. We got high with him and talked shit.

We left Illmarinen and told Daywud's cousin that a bullshit story to make him go away.

Zaishan Bosshard

Joe asked me for some notes on Zaishan Bosshard, thought I would reply to all rather than just to him. My notes get a bit scatty in places but here is what I am able to piece together.

Zaishan was the brains behind the skuld (a precog drug) factory for comex, which I think was the factory we raided with a bunch of explosives. He was getting high on his own supply and didn't like the reslts of his precog visions and as a reaction to them, made chain reaction, the drug that makes people explode.

Probably to avert some kind of catastrophic possible future. Laura Blake, the mother of that girl whose bird drug party we crashed way back when, is involved too. Shinobu wanted to question her. She was the chick with a dead switch. We had Joe sniping up on some statue. We had to hit her with a drug to take out the dead switch and something else to drop her. This was when we talked some woman into letting us put her brain in a box so we could use her body as bait, it went a bit south, I killed a bunch of cops and we had to bail on Mars.

Laura wanted to get his hands on Zaishan and we got the information, (probably via Shinobu's torture dungeon), That he had skipped on a scumbarge with an alpha fork. To pay for this, he designed a drive factory which, unless I am mistaken, was that spider tank that we hacked, shut down, repurposed and sold for a fucktonne of spacebucks.

Somewhere in there we did a raid on Zaishan's house in an attempt to bag him. He was gone, but we found an injector gun and six vials of hypedrive and a fancy chair that wigged Pete right the fuck out when he sat in it and took a shot of said hyperdrive. We also found a podmorph, a bunch of servers, (probably still got that, maybe find a way to put it to use one day), and a personal farcaster recently used to transmit to Locus.

Summary: He designed the skuld blacklab we raided, the spidertank drive factory, the chain reaction drug that makes people pop and possessed a bunch of hyperdrive and the vision throne. His last known whereabouts were on an extra dubious scumbarge with an alpha fork and on Locus with his main meats. I think he was also involved in organising chemicals for the wasp factory, but my notes aren't clear on that. Justin? He needs to be treated like the CIA treats scientists that have designed biological weapons for them.

I consider him priority number 1 as he seems to have played a central role in a huge number of events that have taken place during the course of this game. I regard his continued existence as an existential threat.
